Coming in September - "Once Upon a Town"

Catherine Haley Epstein will display her artwork at Second Story Gallery in the Camas Public Library during September.

New to the Camas area, Haley has always appreciated the sense of community fostered by libraries. She perceives her artwork will serve as the perfect opportunity to explore all things Camas. Archives at the Camas Library, Internet searches, and surrounding area explorations inspired Haley's artwork about Camas, which she has entitled, "Once Upon a Town".

Haley works as a full-time artist and curator. She served as an Affiliate Artist at the Headlands Center in Sausalito CA from 2006 until 2008, and was a resident at Vermont Studio Center in 2010.

Haley will be on hand to discuss her artwork at an opening reception that is part of the First Friday Art Walk in downtown Camas, Sept. 2 from 5 to 8 p.m. The show, "Once Upon a Town", will continue through Sept. 30 at Second Story Gallery, upstairs in the Camas Public Library (625 NE 4th Ave). The gallery is open regular library hours, 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Monday through Thursday, 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Friday and Saturday.
