The Camas Photography Club takes over Second Story Gallery in July, the culmination of a year’s worth of meeting every month in another part of the Camas Public Library over a shared love of picture-taking. The members, from beginners to professionals, from age 30 to the far end of their 60’s, are coming together for the show “Photo Diversity.”
A wide variety of digital photos will be on display in the library’s upstairs gallery July 6 to 28, with a kick-off reception for First Friday from 5 to 8 p.m. in the gallery. Photographers with work on display are Karen Elliot, Patty Ingram, Bill Morris, Kirsten Muskat, Lois Settlemeyer, David Shibata, Stephanie Roberts, Lou Steffey, Jim Stewart, Joyce Lee-Westdal, Lincoln Westdal and Lisa Ziomkowski-Boten.
These photography enthusiasts found each other a year ago, when Kirsten Muskat formed the Camas Photography Club. It’s open to any adult interested in improving skills through a mix of critique, assignments and presentations about various aspects of the art. Muskat said she got the idea for the club after bumping into the same people out taking pictures as she walked the trails around her new hometown.
